Campaign Agenda for our Community
-
People want a thriving economy that rewards work, respects taxpayers, supports local business, and creates real opportunity for the next generation.
Prosperity grows where,
Government is responsible, Communities are safe, Families are strong, & Children are prepared for the future.
That is why I believe economic growth is tied to all our other values!!
Strong schools build a capable workforce.
Safe communities attract families and employers.
Responsible spending protects public trust.
When we get those things right, we create a county where opportunity can grow and prosperity can last.
-
People want the freedom to build their lives, raise their families, and make their own choices without unnecessary government interference. At the same time, strong communities depend on responsibility, accountability, and a shared commitment to doing our part. Good government should respect liberty, uphold fairness, and create the conditions for people to succeed.
-
People want safe communities built on health, dignity, and fairness, through timely access to mental‑health and medical care through trusted local providers and community partnerships. Protecting living‑wage jobs, attainable housing, medical freedom so patients and doctors can make urgent decisions, honoring veterans with timely support, robust suicide‑prevention resources, stable housing, and tackling cost pressures with strategic spending.
When communities do these things, crises are addressed early; reducing 911 calls and police‑involved mental‑health encounters, treatment cuts repeat offenses, and economic security lowers desperation‑driven property crime.
Trust in local institutions improves cooperation with law enforcement and eyewitness reporting. By investing in prevention and treatment, safeguarding personal healthcare choices, strengthening support for those who served, and aligning our spending to support working families, we reduce crises before they happen, keep families stable, and make every neighborhood in Wilson County safer and stronger.
-
People want responsible spending that puts Wilson County families first, directing dollars to what works and measuring the return. Such as; safe roads and bridges, smarter traffic plans, sidewalks and transit that connect people to jobs, and strategic, master‑planned growth that protects our tax base.
We’ll curb giveaways to large, out‑of‑state corporations and instead support policies that raise wages, strengthen workers’ rights, and keep more earnings circulating locally.
We’ll prioritize transparent budgeting, competitive bidding, and project dashboards so taxpayers can see progress on I‑40, SR‑141, Central Pike improvements, and rail investments, ensuring every dollar reduces congestion, boosts productivity, and improves quality of life.
By aligning incentives with community outcomes, like good jobs, safe infrastructure, and efficient growth. We can lower long‑term costs, reduce poverty, and deliver real value for every resident.
-
People want strong public schools that keep great teachers in Wilson County with living wages, safe classrooms, and the resources to help every student thrive, not policies moving fund away from public education. We’ll invest in competitive pay for educators and staff, modern career‑technical programs that connect students to good local jobs, and evidence‑based supports like counseling and tutoring that boost attendance and graduation.
Strong schools lower the cost of living by growing a skilled local workforce, shortening commutes, and attracting employers who pay family‑sustaining wages. Also reducing crime by preventing dropouts, expanding opportunity, and strengthening community trust and stability. With transparent budgeting focused on classrooms, we can deliver excellent instruction, safer campuses, and a reliable talent pipeline that lifts families, keeps neighborhoods secure, and strengthens Wilson County’s economic future.
-
People want Wilson County to grow while protecting working farms and greenspace as Tennessee faces the projected loss of 1 million acres by 2040, on top of roughly 500,000 acres already lost since 2017.
We’ll back farmers with incentives and champion compact, mixed‑use development, diverse housing, and better transportation choices that reduce sprawl.
We stood with the ‘No Industrial Park’ campaign at Tucker’s Gap and ‘No ICE Detention facility‘ and we will continue opposing irresponsible conversions while requiring plans preserve our natural resources.
By engaging farmers, developers, and residents in transparent planning, we can safeguard clean air and water, strengthen our $1 billion agriculture economy, and deliver sustainable, community‑first growth.
